Cycle Recycle

The Cycle Centre also offers Cycle Recycle courses for local people. These are open to anyone, although places are limited. We are particularly keen to involve young people aged 16-25 through our Working Neighbourhoods Fund supported project.

Participants on Cycle Recycle work on the restoration of a redundant cycle over a period of 6 -8 weeks. Through the project, they learn how to fix common faults and how to ride the cycle safely. At the end of the programme, the participants are able to keep the cycle they have been working on and also recieve an OCN Level 1 Qualification in Cycle Maintainence. Due to the popularity of the scheme, Single day sessions are now available throughout the year.
